My Favourite Powder | Laura Mercier

After finding my dream foundation, it was about time I found a powder to work just as well. I had, of course, heard a lot about baking... and no, not the food kind! I wanted to try the trend and see how well it worked for me so thought it was about time I splurged on a decent translucent powder to perfect that flawless finish.

One product that kept cropping up on videos and tutorials I was watching was the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder so I had to give it a go.

The Laura Mercier loose powder comes in at £29 so quite a hefty mark up from my usual powder buys from the likes by Collection. Nonetheless, it was totally worth it.

I much prefer loose powders as I feel I have a lot more control over how much product actually goes on my face and in turn is a lot more build-able. The powder feels lightweight, smooth and silky and couldn't make my make up look more flawless if I tried. Half the time when I'm getting ready to go out I am 'baking' and look like a deranged clown with my parents often giving me puzzled looks buuut after the odd looks and 10 minutes is over - or until I've finished my eye make up - I brush off the excess powder leaving my face looking smoother, brighter, highlighted and positively flawless.

This powder is a definite must-have and I would recommend it to anyone. It definitely pays to splurge out from time to time and discover new brands and holy-grails I couldn't live without!

  1. I got the Nars one and honestly was not impressed with it at all, it was a nightmare to get out of the pot too!! I think you have made my mind up and I should give this a go! Just need some spare monies now haha XX

    1. I've never really tried Nars makeup myself but that's such a shame! And yes definitely give it a go hunny! x
