Spend Spend Spend | My Latest Haul

I recently read an article where a man stated if you have a problem you can instantly fix it. For example, if you can't stop shopping, freeze your card in a glass of water in the freezer. This is definitely something I need to consider as I have had another haul but I'm worth it... right?

I have been really getting into having candles lit in my bedroom. I purchased this Yankee Candle melt holder from Debenhams. I think the pattern is so pretty and it goes perfectly with the colour scheme in my room. This was priced up at £12.99 but it came up on the till as £3.50. I thought it must have been in the sale so didn't say anything - turns out the cashier just put it through wrong. Oops! I'm not complaining!

Along with the candle holder I also purchased some Yankee Candle melts and a bag of 25 unscented tea lights for £5.65. I purchased Snow In Love, Christmas Cookie and Vanilla Cupcake. These cost £1.49 each. I have only used Snow In Love so far but it is such a gorgeous scent. It even smells really good when I get home and the scent isn't overpowering which is always a plus. Even my Dad said my room smelt good!

I picked up this gorgeous navy tartan skort from New Look for £17.99. I didn't have any skorts before I purchased this one and I think these colours are great for Autumn.

I am obsessing over statement necklaces lately so I had to pick up this pretty jewelled beauty for just £9.99 from New Look also.

Last A/W I didn't have any knee high boots so this year I made sure I got some early! I purchased these from Miss Selfridge for £65. They fit perfectly around my legs and I love the high heel on them too! I think these will look great paired with mini skirts and skorts to add a tough edge to a girly look.

In my previous haul post I purchased high waisted skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge and they are so comfy and fit perfectly that I decided to purchase them again in indigo for £34.

I only have two black dresses in my wardrobe and one of them is a ball gown so I decided to purchase a turtle neck mini dress from Miss Selfridge for £18. I can't wait to wear this out and team it with my new boots and a leather jacket for the day time or high heels and a statement necklace for a night out.

Lastly from Miss Selfridge, I picked up this pretty blue dress in the sale for £17.50 (usually £35). Its a trumpet dipped hem dress - not something I'd usually go for but I couldn't resist and it was perfect for a night out in town!

As the weather is starting to get colder I thought it was a good idea to purchase some long sleeved tops. I picked up this top from Next in both navy and black as they were 2 for £11. These would be great with skinny jeans or with a skort.

Last but not least I picked up this cute skort from River Island. It's usually £30 but I got it in the sale for just £7! I couldn't not purchase it! I've already worn this and paired it with my black long sleeved top from Next and my pink statement necklace from New Look.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest purchases. Let me know whether you would purchase any of these or what you have been buying lately - I'd love to know!

My October Favourites | Top 10

Here are my top 10 favourites this month...

1) Bad Angels by Rebecca Chance: I couldn't remember the last time I really got into a good book so I looked through my Mum's books and picked this one out (it may or may not have been for the sparkly cover) and I love it! Bad Angels is about an actress, Melody Dale, who's big Hollywood break left her broken and career in tatters so she's back in London wanting her old life - and boyfriend back. I'm only a few chapters in but I love the storyline and it's a good old girly read!

2) Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub: As the days are getting colder and the wind is picking up, the weather doesn't just play havoc with our skin and hair but our lips too. I don't tend to get cracked lips but my lips do get a little dry in the colder months and to make my deep Winter lipstick shades glide on more smoothly, I have been using this lip scrub. You only need a tiny amount and you can use it as often or little as you like and it smells delicious!

3) SensatioNail gel colour in Teenie Bikini: As I am training to be a Beauty Therapist our standards are very high and we are not allowed to wear any nail colour. However, it's now half term and I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous colour! It's the perfect Barbie pink for me and has a subtle shimmer in it too.

4) Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream: I wrote a review about the It's Potent! Eye Cream in one of my latest reviews but I am just loving this product even more! The cream feels so amazing on my delicate eye area and really hydrates the area which is great in the colder months. It's also a good base before applying any concealer - if you have dehydrated eyes you will have concealer-filled-creases under your eyes but with just a small dab of this every day and night concealer-filled-creases will be no more!

5) Nail Wheels: As I am a trainee Beauty Therapist I thought it would be a good idea to purchase some nail wheels to make it easier for my family/friends/clients etc to choose a colour. They are also great for practising nail art on and are soo cheap too!

6) Michael Kors Sporty Citrus perfume: I received this perfume as a gift last Christmas after I tried a small sample tube of it. I haven't worn this fragrance for such a long time but I rekindled my love for this gorgeous fruity fragrance this month and I have been wearing it pretty much every day since.

7) MaxFactor Eye Brightening Tonal Black Volumising Mascara for Green Eyes: I have tried and tested countless mascaras but this will always be one of my favourites. The mascara comes in three shades: Black Pearl for brown eyes, Black Sapphire for blue eyes and Black Ruby for green eyes. The mascara has metallic tones in it that help brighten your eyes as well as enhance your eye colour - I definitely prefer the colour Black Ruby to a harsher strong black mascara and it makes my lashes look longer and fuller, its a win-win!

8) Candles: I have been on the hunt for some fairy lights to hang on one of my walls in my bedroom but have so far been unsuccessful. However, I have loved having candles lit all around my room. They look so pretty and smell lovely! I'm not sure where this candle holder is from as it was a birthday gift from a friend last year but I love the pretty pattern it gives off when a tea light is lit inside.

9) Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran: Who doesn't love a cute guy with tattoos singing romantic songs?! I have Ed Sheeran's album and there is not one song that I don't like although Thinking Out Loud has got to be one of my favourites. It's such a beautiful song and I could listen to it over and over again plus the music video is stunning!

10) Magnitone Lucid: You may have seen how much I was bigging up my Magnitone Lucid in my review post on it but I am still using this cleansing brush and I am still so impressed with the results. Of course its not a miracle worker - I still get spots but my skin does look clearer and I can sleep well knowing my face has been cleaned thoroughly and my skincare products absorb into my skin a lot quicker instead of sitting on the surface.

I hope you enjoyed reading my brief summery of my top 10 favourites this month. Let me know in the comments what your favourites are this month!

Rimmel London Provocalips | Review

Rimmel London is one of my favourite make up brands so I when I saw their new lip products I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. Usually I like to see reviews for make up before I make a purchase but the packaging of the Provocalips is so gorgeous I just had to get them straight away!

Rimmel's Provocalips retail at £6.99 and currently in Boots when you spend £10 on any Rimmel London products, you receive a Lash Accelerator Mascara for free which retails at £7.99 - bargain!

Provocalips works in two easy steps.
Step one: You simply apply your chosen intense colour to your lips.
Step two: Apply lock and shine on top.

Rimmel claims the colour is 'intense' and oh my gosh the colours are amazing! I have 310 Little Minx and 500 Kiss Me You Fool. The colour is definitely intense and just looks so gorgeous! When you apply the colour it is very shiny but then dries on your lips and the shine is lost. However, the intensity of the colour remains. I find the colour quite sticky so it is important you remember to apply the lock and shine. The lock and shine smells lovely and feels so moisturising on the lips as soon as it is applied. Unlike normal lip gloss, Provocalips does not feel sticky and tacky on the lips and is certainly not drying which is always a plus in the Winter months!

Provocalips claims to be kiss-proof and transfer-proof for up to 16hrs. I haven't yet worn my Provocalips for hours on end but for the time I have worn it, the colour has remained perfectly even when I have been eating and drinking. The colour lasts so well throughout the day that I think Provocalips will definitely be kiss-proof too so now we can still look glam after a cheeky kiss ladies - horraaay!!

I've enjoyed wearing these colours so much that I will definitely be purchasing more colours from the range. There are currently 8 shades. I love Rimmel's Provocalips so much and they are definitely a must-have in your make up bag! Let me know if you have tried Provocalips and what shades you purchased - I would love to know your opinions!

Eye products | Benefit Review

Since I can remember I have always had dark circles and bags under and around my eyes. I use Rimmel's Lasting Perfection foundation but unfortunately the lightest coloured concealer they make is in ivory which just makes me look orange under my eyes! I've tried and tested countless drug store and high-end concealers and I have now reverted back to my all time favourite brand - Benefit.

When I first started getting into make up (5 years or so ago) I was lucky enough to have lots of Benefit products bought for me from my Mum and Nan at Christmas time and since then I have been hooked. You really do get what you pay for.

My eyes are dehydrated so I decided its about time I got myself some eye cream. When I purchased the They're Real! Push-Up Liner I got given a sample of the It's Potent! Eye Cream and from the small sample, I loved how it felt on my skin.

So, yesterday I popped into my local Boots and headed straight for the Benefit counter. I picked up the It's Potent! Eye Cream for £25.50. The eye cream claims to 'fade dark circles & help smooth fine lines for brighter, younger looking eyes'. The packaging (as always with Benefit) was gorgeous and I didn't even want to open the box as it looked so pretty! As soon as I put the product around my eyes, they instantly felt refreshed. I let the cream soak in for a few minutes and my skin felt soo soft! I haven't noticed any visible differences apart from my eyes looking slightly brighter but I have only used the cream three times and I know nothing is a miracle worker but I'm sure it will live up to its claims!

I have tried Benefit's Erase Paste, Fake Up and Boi-ing! concealers over the years. Fake Up is hydrating but I found it just slid off my face after a short amount of time and Boi-ing! didn't have enough coverage for me. On the other hand, I loved Erase Paste so decided to try it out again for £20.50. The Erase Paste is a 'concentrated, creamy concealer' that claims to 'brighten and camouflage' by 'targeting dark circles, discolouration and imperfections'. The concealer definitely lives up to its claims as it hides my dark circles perfectly, making me looking fresh and wide awake! Its also great for dabbing onto imperfections and spots if you have any too.

I am so glad I decided to go back to Benefit's products and I certainly won't be changing to the cheaper alternatives any time soon. Some people may find them a little on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for, their quality is next to none and their packaging is always super gorgeous and girly! The only problem I do have with Benefit is this is the second time (in two different locations) that I have received bad customer service which is such a shame. Let me know what your favourite Benefit products are in the comments below and what the customer service is like where you are.
