Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

I have been nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award by Roxie from The Beautiful Bluebird so thank you Roxie!

The rules for the award are as follows:
1) Thank the blogger that nominated you and link to their blog
2) Include the award logo in your post
3) Answer the set of 10 questions they provide
4) Supply your own set of 10 questions
5) Nominate 10 other bloggers

So, here are my questions and answers...

1) What is the story behind your blog name?
I'm a fairly new blogger and wanted to create a memorable name that relates to me too. I eventually decided on Blonde Beauty Blogs as I am blonde, mostly blog beauty-related posts and I'm a blogger! Sorry for a very boring first answer hehe...

2) What has been your favourite blog post to write?
I think my favourite post to write so far has got to be my first shopping haul. I love being nosey and seeing what other girls purchase so I thought I would give an insight into my style and what I like buying. I loved writing about all my new clothes/products and got a good response too it.

3) Favourite quote?
"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different."

4) Your favourite Disney princess?
Ooo, this is a hard one! I absolutely love love love Disney and I don't think there is one princess I don't adore. That being said, I think my favourite might just have to be Cinderella!

5) If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
BE YOU!

6) Your current favourite blog?
I've been slacking on the whole bloggers-sphere lately but I love Emma's posts!

7) What is your favourite beauty brand?
My all time favourite beauty brand has got to be Rimmel!

8) What inspires your most to write?
Anything and everything but mostly my passion for the beauty world!

9) What is your favourite beauty/hair product?
My favourite beauty product is Rimmel's Stay Matte pressed powder in translucent. It's perfect for when I'm having a good skin day and don't need to wear foundation.

10) Describe yourself using only three words
Girly, feisty, determined!

My 10 questions are:
1) Why did you decide to start blogging?
2) Who is your biggest inspiration?
3) What is your favourite song and why?
4) What is your all time favourite beauty product?
5) What is the country you would most like to visit?
6) What is top of your Christmas list this year?
7) What is your favourite film?
8) What is your favourite high st brand?
9) If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?
10) What animal are you most like and why?

I nominate:

L'Oreal Paris Lipstick | Color Riche Collection Exclusive

If you know me you know that I am lipstick obsessed.

L'Oreal Paris have launched their new Color Riche Collection Exclusive in Nudes. The nude collection includes nudes by JLo, Julianne Moore, Freida Pinto, Doutzen Kroes, Eva Longoria and Liya. I decided to pick up JLo's Nude in Barely Greige.

The first thing that attracted me to these lipsticks is the gorgeous black and gold packaging. I think it makes the product look so luxurious and high end. As I only have one nude lipstick in my collection at home I wasn't too sure on which shade to pick but in the end I decided to go for JLo's.

JLo's Nude is the perfect 'my lips but better' shade for me as it is subtle but still makes a difference to my overall look. I have been wearing this lipstick everyday since I purchased it about two weeks ago. I am yet to try out any of the other nude shades from the collection as the Boots near where I live has very limited stock of these lipsticks however I would love to try the others. What nude lipsticks from this range would you suggest?

L'Oreal Paris have also launched a Color Riche Collection Exclusive in Reds which I am dying to try out as having bold, red lips is definitely one of my favourite looks. Blake Lively's shade seems like it would look great on pale, blonde girls so that is one of the shades that is on the top of my lipstick wishlist!

I hope you enjoyed my short but sweet review on the new Color Riche Collection Exclusive Nude by JLo. I would love to know if you have tried out any of the shades from their new range and what ones you would recommend!

My Top 5 Autumnal Lipsticks | Swatches

I'm one of those girls that is never afraid to experiment with different make up especially when it comes to lipsticks. I always love wearing in-your-face colours and can never get enough of reds and burgundy's. For those of you who are not so experimental Autumn and Winter is the perfect time to try out a more daring colour! Here are my top 5 Autumnal lipsticks...

1) Mac in Russian Red - this lipstick is one of my favourite reds ever ever ever! I'm really pale and super blonde so this colour definitely stands out on me. However, I think this colour will suit any skin tone and hair colour - its gorgeous! Russian Red is also a matte lipstick which is a huge plus for me as I feel I don't need to reapply as much or if at all during the day.

2) L'oréal Corlor Riche in No. 325 - Feeric Fuschia - I didn't actually purchase this lipstick as my Mum gave it to me to borrow for a party and said I could keep it! This is lipstick is red with such a gorgeous shimmer in it. Again, this lipstick doesn't need touching up at all throughout the day and stays on well. I think the shimmer makes it unwearable to just wear to the shops but this would look fab at a party or on Christmas Day!

3) GOSH Cosmetics in 154 - Burgundy - when I first saw this lipstick I wasn't too sure whether I would like it or not but *ohmygosh* love it! The lipstick glides on so smoothly and feels really moisturising to the lips as it has a more creamy texture. This is a great shade to take you from dawn to dusk. I can't fault it!

4) Nars in Afghan Red - This lipstick was my first ever Nars purchase and it is definitely one of my best! I would say this lipstick is more burgundy than red but either way its a gorgeous colour for this time of year. It has a smooth creamy texture and doesn't feel drying on the lips which is the last thing us girls want in the A/W months!

5) Mac in Rebel - I first saw this lipstick on a beauty blogger and the colour looked stunning! I was unsure whether it would suit me as she has a dark complexion with brunette hair however I still thought I would try it out. I love this colour - the purple tone of the lipstick doesn't show as strongly in the picture as it does in person but it is sooo lovely! This is such a great Autumnal colour and definitely stands out on pale skin too! The only thing I find strange about this lipstick is that it stains my lips after and it leaves my lips a pinky colour - very strange as even Russian Red doesn't do that!

Below are more swatches of my top 5 Autumnal lipsticks in order. The first is without the flash and the second is with the flash...

If you don't feel like plunging into the deep end of reds and burgundy's just yet you can always use a lipstick brush to build up colour on your lips. Another great Autumnal lip that I am loving at the moment is a brown smoky eye with a nude lip. Autumn isn't just for bright, bold lips but for playing up those gorgeous eyes too!

Let me know what you think of my top Autumnal lipsticks and what your go-to-look for the Autumnal months is in the comments below! I'm always keen to try out new brands and products!

Spend Spend Spend | My Latest Haul

I recently read an article where a man stated if you have a problem you can instantly fix it. For example, if you can't stop shopping, freeze your card in a glass of water in the freezer. This is definitely something I need to consider as I have had another haul but I'm worth it... right?

I have been really getting into having candles lit in my bedroom. I purchased this Yankee Candle melt holder from Debenhams. I think the pattern is so pretty and it goes perfectly with the colour scheme in my room. This was priced up at £12.99 but it came up on the till as £3.50. I thought it must have been in the sale so didn't say anything - turns out the cashier just put it through wrong. Oops! I'm not complaining!

Along with the candle holder I also purchased some Yankee Candle melts and a bag of 25 unscented tea lights for £5.65. I purchased Snow In Love, Christmas Cookie and Vanilla Cupcake. These cost £1.49 each. I have only used Snow In Love so far but it is such a gorgeous scent. It even smells really good when I get home and the scent isn't overpowering which is always a plus. Even my Dad said my room smelt good!

I picked up this gorgeous navy tartan skort from New Look for £17.99. I didn't have any skorts before I purchased this one and I think these colours are great for Autumn.

I am obsessing over statement necklaces lately so I had to pick up this pretty jewelled beauty for just £9.99 from New Look also.

Last A/W I didn't have any knee high boots so this year I made sure I got some early! I purchased these from Miss Selfridge for £65. They fit perfectly around my legs and I love the high heel on them too! I think these will look great paired with mini skirts and skorts to add a tough edge to a girly look.

In my previous haul post I purchased high waisted skinny jeans from Miss Selfridge and they are so comfy and fit perfectly that I decided to purchase them again in indigo for £34.

I only have two black dresses in my wardrobe and one of them is a ball gown so I decided to purchase a turtle neck mini dress from Miss Selfridge for £18. I can't wait to wear this out and team it with my new boots and a leather jacket for the day time or high heels and a statement necklace for a night out.

Lastly from Miss Selfridge, I picked up this pretty blue dress in the sale for £17.50 (usually £35). Its a trumpet dipped hem dress - not something I'd usually go for but I couldn't resist and it was perfect for a night out in town!

As the weather is starting to get colder I thought it was a good idea to purchase some long sleeved tops. I picked up this top from Next in both navy and black as they were 2 for £11. These would be great with skinny jeans or with a skort.

Last but not least I picked up this cute skort from River Island. It's usually £30 but I got it in the sale for just £7! I couldn't not purchase it! I've already worn this and paired it with my black long sleeved top from Next and my pink statement necklace from New Look.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest purchases. Let me know whether you would purchase any of these or what you have been buying lately - I'd love to know!

My October Favourites | Top 10

Here are my top 10 favourites this month...

1) Bad Angels by Rebecca Chance: I couldn't remember the last time I really got into a good book so I looked through my Mum's books and picked this one out (it may or may not have been for the sparkly cover) and I love it! Bad Angels is about an actress, Melody Dale, who's big Hollywood break left her broken and career in tatters so she's back in London wanting her old life - and boyfriend back. I'm only a few chapters in but I love the storyline and it's a good old girly read!

2) Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub: As the days are getting colder and the wind is picking up, the weather doesn't just play havoc with our skin and hair but our lips too. I don't tend to get cracked lips but my lips do get a little dry in the colder months and to make my deep Winter lipstick shades glide on more smoothly, I have been using this lip scrub. You only need a tiny amount and you can use it as often or little as you like and it smells delicious!

3) SensatioNail gel colour in Teenie Bikini: As I am training to be a Beauty Therapist our standards are very high and we are not allowed to wear any nail colour. However, it's now half term and I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous colour! It's the perfect Barbie pink for me and has a subtle shimmer in it too.

4) Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream: I wrote a review about the It's Potent! Eye Cream in one of my latest reviews but I am just loving this product even more! The cream feels so amazing on my delicate eye area and really hydrates the area which is great in the colder months. It's also a good base before applying any concealer - if you have dehydrated eyes you will have concealer-filled-creases under your eyes but with just a small dab of this every day and night concealer-filled-creases will be no more!

5) Nail Wheels: As I am a trainee Beauty Therapist I thought it would be a good idea to purchase some nail wheels to make it easier for my family/friends/clients etc to choose a colour. They are also great for practising nail art on and are soo cheap too!

6) Michael Kors Sporty Citrus perfume: I received this perfume as a gift last Christmas after I tried a small sample tube of it. I haven't worn this fragrance for such a long time but I rekindled my love for this gorgeous fruity fragrance this month and I have been wearing it pretty much every day since.

7) MaxFactor Eye Brightening Tonal Black Volumising Mascara for Green Eyes: I have tried and tested countless mascaras but this will always be one of my favourites. The mascara comes in three shades: Black Pearl for brown eyes, Black Sapphire for blue eyes and Black Ruby for green eyes. The mascara has metallic tones in it that help brighten your eyes as well as enhance your eye colour - I definitely prefer the colour Black Ruby to a harsher strong black mascara and it makes my lashes look longer and fuller, its a win-win!

8) Candles: I have been on the hunt for some fairy lights to hang on one of my walls in my bedroom but have so far been unsuccessful. However, I have loved having candles lit all around my room. They look so pretty and smell lovely! I'm not sure where this candle holder is from as it was a birthday gift from a friend last year but I love the pretty pattern it gives off when a tea light is lit inside.

9) Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran: Who doesn't love a cute guy with tattoos singing romantic songs?! I have Ed Sheeran's album and there is not one song that I don't like although Thinking Out Loud has got to be one of my favourites. It's such a beautiful song and I could listen to it over and over again plus the music video is stunning!

10) Magnitone Lucid: You may have seen how much I was bigging up my Magnitone Lucid in my review post on it but I am still using this cleansing brush and I am still so impressed with the results. Of course its not a miracle worker - I still get spots but my skin does look clearer and I can sleep well knowing my face has been cleaned thoroughly and my skincare products absorb into my skin a lot quicker instead of sitting on the surface.

I hope you enjoyed reading my brief summery of my top 10 favourites this month. Let me know in the comments what your favourites are this month!

Rimmel London Provocalips | Review

Rimmel London is one of my favourite make up brands so I when I saw their new lip products I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. Usually I like to see reviews for make up before I make a purchase but the packaging of the Provocalips is so gorgeous I just had to get them straight away!

Rimmel's Provocalips retail at £6.99 and currently in Boots when you spend £10 on any Rimmel London products, you receive a Lash Accelerator Mascara for free which retails at £7.99 - bargain!

Provocalips works in two easy steps.
Step one: You simply apply your chosen intense colour to your lips.
Step two: Apply lock and shine on top.

Rimmel claims the colour is 'intense' and oh my gosh the colours are amazing! I have 310 Little Minx and 500 Kiss Me You Fool. The colour is definitely intense and just looks so gorgeous! When you apply the colour it is very shiny but then dries on your lips and the shine is lost. However, the intensity of the colour remains. I find the colour quite sticky so it is important you remember to apply the lock and shine. The lock and shine smells lovely and feels so moisturising on the lips as soon as it is applied. Unlike normal lip gloss, Provocalips does not feel sticky and tacky on the lips and is certainly not drying which is always a plus in the Winter months!

Provocalips claims to be kiss-proof and transfer-proof for up to 16hrs. I haven't yet worn my Provocalips for hours on end but for the time I have worn it, the colour has remained perfectly even when I have been eating and drinking. The colour lasts so well throughout the day that I think Provocalips will definitely be kiss-proof too so now we can still look glam after a cheeky kiss ladies - horraaay!!

I've enjoyed wearing these colours so much that I will definitely be purchasing more colours from the range. There are currently 8 shades. I love Rimmel's Provocalips so much and they are definitely a must-have in your make up bag! Let me know if you have tried Provocalips and what shades you purchased - I would love to know your opinions!

310 - Little Minx

500 - Kiss Me You Fool
